The UMY International Scholarship is offered by Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY), Indonesia, for international students applying to undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs for the 2027/2028 academic year. Applicants under the scholarship scheme are initially considered for a Full Scholarship, but the final scholarship category is determined through the university’s selection process and is not guaranteed. Successful applicants may receive Full Scholarship, Partial Plus Scholarship, Partial Scholarship, Self-Funded admission, or rejection. The Full Scholarship covers full tuition fee exemption, monthly living allowance, university-provided accommodation, a 3-month Bahasa Indonesia for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) class, and minor health treatment on campus. UMY offers programs across areas including International Relations, Law, Management, Accounting, Communication, Government Affairs, Islamic Studies, Nursing, Hospital Management, and other disciplines. For the 2027/2028 academic year, applications are available through four batches from July 15, 2026 to May 31, 2027. English proficiency may be demonstrated through IELTS, TOEFL, Duolingo English Test, or TOEIC, with certain applicants eligible for a waiver.
